A media milla al norte del cabo de Begur se encuentra una de las formaciones rocosas submarinas más impresionantes del litoral mediterráneo. Sus características lo convierten en un accidente geográfico único en toda la costa. Se trata de un enorme macizo sumergido, que comienza en los 14 metros de profundidad y tiene su base más allá de los 55 metros. La boya de fondeo está fijada en la cima del propio furió.
El atractivo principal de esta inmersión, si la efectuamos en la pared norte, es la contemplación de inmensas gorgonias y formaciones coralinas de increíble cromatismo. Las incrustaciones de invertebrados son muy numerosas. También encontraremos gran cantidad de pulpos, escorpénidos autóctonos de la zona, meros, rayas y otras especies pelágicas dependiendo de la época del año. No es extraño que durante el ascenso descubramos bancos de barracudas en busca de alimento y ocasionalmente alguna pareja de peces luna. Otra alternativa es sumergirnos por la cara sudoeste, dónde el descenso es más progresivo y dónde encontraremos también gran cantidad de vida béntica que nos cautivará de inmediato. Prácticamente todas las especies de vertebrados e invertebrados propios del mediterráneo pueden ser observadas en éste lugar.
