Achieving a new apnoea time or reaching a new depth is an incredible feeling. The PADI Advanced Freediver course is designed to meet that personal need to refine and improve your freediving skills and allows you to progress gradually while learning how your body responds during apnoea.

The PADI Advanced Freediver course consists of three main phases:
Knowledge development on advanced freediving techniques and equipment.
Confined water session to learn stretching and relaxation techniques as well as refining static and dynamic apnoea. Objective: 2 minutes and 30 seconds static apnoea (2 minutes for freedivers under 18 years of age) and 50 metres dynamic apnoea (40 metres for freedivers under 18 years of age).
Open water sessions to practise deeper free immersion and constant weight descents, together with additional buddy procedures and rescue techniques. Objective: 20-metre constant weight freedive (15 metres for freedivers under 18 years of age).
Course requirements
Be 15 years of age.
Be certified as a PADI Freediver (or equivalent certification from another freediver organisation).
Have completed a PADI EFR First Aid course within the last 24 months.
Hold an official medical certificate no older than 2 years.
Hold diving insurance (if you do not have one, we can arrange it).
Equipment: You need to have freediving mask, snorkel, fins, wetsuit and weight belt. You will also need a surface signalling device and a freediving computer.
