On the Advanced Open Water Diver course you will perfect the techniques learned on the Open Water Diver, acquiring new underwater knowledge and skills at the same time. The course is essentially practical, though it also includes a theoretical part where the specific techniques of each type of diving are reviewed.

Once certified as Advanced Open Water you will be able to dive to a depth of 30 metres and in different diving environments.

You can take the course at your own pace. Decide when you want to do the dives. We will spread the cost of the course to adapt to your rhythm and make it easier and more convenient for you.

How is the course carried out?

The PADI Advanced Open Water course is divided into two parts:

Theory part: In the theory part, various specific diving techniques are covered including night diving, underwater navigation, deep diving, wreck diving, search and rescue, etc.
You will also receive a PADI eLearning code to download the theory on your mobile or tablet. In this way, you can follow the lessons and have the course contents available at all times.
Practical part: During the course 5 dives in different environments are carried out. The Underwater Navigation and Deep Dive dives are compulsory. The remaining three you can choose yourself according to the options available at the time of taking the course (Nitrox, Deep, Wrecks, Buoyancy, Night, etc.).

Once you have completed your Advanced Open Water Diver course you can continue with your training and start the PADI Rescue Diver course or take some of the PADI Specialty courses.

Course requirements

Hold the Open Water Diver or Junior Open Water Diver certification.
Be 12 years of age.
Children aged 12 to 14 obtain the Junior Advanced Open Water Diver certification and maximum depth is limited to 21 metres. Once they turn 15, it is automatically upgraded to Advanced Open Water Diver.
Hold an official medical certificate no older than 2 years.
Hold diving insurance (if you do not have one, we can arrange it).

What does the course include?

Duration: 2-3 days
All necessary diving equipment is included during the course except dive computer and decompression buoy.
No. of dives: 5 dives, of which 3 are from the boat.
Assistance throughout the course from a certified instructor.
PADI Advanced Open Water Diver certification.
