The PADI / DAN Deep-X course introduces divers to diving with limited decompression within the recreational depth limit.
During the course, deep diving techniques within recreational limits (between 18 and 40 metres) are developed. You will use recreational diving equipment and a bailout cylinder, at all times placing special emphasis on buoyancy to avoid disturbing the delicate marine life.

The certification serves as credit towards the PADI Master Scuba Diver level.

How is the course carried out?

PADI DAN Deep-X Course

The course is divided into two parts:

  • Theory part: During the theory session, you will learn planning, organisation, procedures, techniques and hazards of deep diving.
  • Practical part: The course consists of 2 training dives ranging from 18m to 40m depth. During the course you will gain experience in deep diving with limited decompression using a bailout cylinder, always under the direct supervision of a PADI Instructor.
Once certified as a PADI / DAN Deep-X Diver you will be able to dive to 40 metres depth with a decompression time of up to 5 minutes

Course requirements

  • Must be an Advanced Open Water Diver or equivalent.
  • Must hold the PADI Deep Diver specialty and the PADI Nitrox Diver is recommended.
  • Be 18 years of age.
  • Hold an official medical certificate no older than 2 years.
  • Hold diving insurance (if you do not have one, we can arrange it).

What does the course include?

  • Duration: 2 days
  • Number of dives: 1 in confined water and 2 in open water.
  • The course includes air fills and specific equipment required.
  • Assistance throughout the course from a certified instructor.
  • PADI / DAN Deep-X Diver certification.
