Do you want to dive comfortably without getting cold? Do you want to extend your diving season? Then the best option is to dive with a dry suit. A dry suit insulates you from the water and keeps you comfortable even in surprisingly cold water. It is incredible to dive in the coldest regions of the world and in some areas conditions are even better in the colder months. Becoming a dry suit diver allows you to expand your limits and dive in more places and more often.

The certification serves as credit towards the PADI Master Scuba Diver level.

How is the course carried out?

PADI Dry Suit Course
The first thing you will discover is which style of dry suit and undergarment are the right ones for you and the diving you are going to do. You will then learn how to care for your dry suit. During two open water dives you will practise the following:
  • Putting on and taking off your dry suit with minimal assistance.
  • Mastering buoyancy control using your dry suit.
  • Procedures for diving safely when using a dry suit.
Clearly a dry suit is necessary alongside your basic diving equipment. Your instructor will teach you to use a different weight configuration due to the change in buoyancy when using a dry suit.

Requirements

  • Hold the Open Water Diver or Junior Open Water Diver certification.
  • Minimum age 10 years.
  • Hold an official medical certificate no older than 2 years.
  • Hold diving insurance (if you do not have one, we can arrange it).

What does the course include?

  • Duration: 1 day
  • Number of dives: 2 open water dives
  • Equipment necessary during the course, except dry suit.
  • Assistance at all times from a certified instructor.
  • PADI Dry Suit Diver certification.
