The emphasis of the course is on improving the level of basic skills used on every dive such as buoyancy, underwater position (trim), finning techniques, equipment positioning and protocols for each phase of the dive.

Whether you are a single-cylinder recreational diver who wants to update and bring your diving techniques up to date, or you are preparing for technical diving or cave diving courses, this course will help you raise the level of your diving to achieve greater precision, improve safety and reach a higher level of awareness and knowledge so that you enjoy your current dives more and are equipped for dives with greater challenges.

How is the course carried out?


The PADI Tec Basics Diver course has three main parts: knowledge development, practical application and training dives.

  • Knowledge development covers the theory and principles necessary to complete the practical application and training dives. You will use eLearning for most of your knowledge development, followed by reviews, discussions and application of what you learned during the rest of the course.
  • During practical application, your instructor will guide you while you apply what you have learned about equipment configuration, technical procedures and emergency skills.
