How is the course carried out?

The PADI Master Freediver course consists of three main phases:
  • Knowledge development on nutrition, relaxation and advanced apnoea techniques. You will study on your own using PADI Freediver Touch (or your instructor may conduct classroom sessions). You will also complete independent research as part of the Master Freediver Assignment.
  • A confined water session to improve your static and dynamic apnoea attempts, including a dynamic apnoea without fins. Objective: 3-minute static apnoea and 70-metre dynamic apnoea.
  • Open water sessions to practise mouthfill equalisation and carry out deeper

Course requirements

  • Be 18 years of age.
  • Be certified as a PADI Advanced Freediver (or equivalent certification from another organisation).
  • Have completed a PADI EFR First Aid course within the last 24 months.
  • Hold an official medical certificate no older than 2 years.
  • Hold diving insurance (if you do not have one, we can arrange it).
