How is the course carried out?

PADI Rescue Diver Course
The course is divided into two parts:
  • Theory part: You learn to identify possible emergency situations you may encounter underwater, as well as symptoms of underwater illnesses.

    You will also receive a PADI eLearning code to download the theory on your mobile or tablet.

  • Practical part: The practical part consists of 4 sea dives with 12 rescue exercises.

  • Equipment and emergency management.
  • Response to a panicking diver.
  • In-water rescue protocols.
  • Water exits.
  • Diving accident simulations.

Course requirements

  • Hold the Advanced Open Water certification or equivalent.
  • Hold the EFR certification no older than 24 months.
  • Be 12 years of age.
  • Children aged 12 to 14 obtain the Junior Rescue Diver certification and maximum depth is limited to 21 metres. Once they turn 15, it is automatically upgraded to Rescue Diver.
  • Hold an official medical certificate no older than 2 years.
  • Hold diving insurance (if you do not have one, we can arrange it).
