The PADI Tec Trimix 65 course allows you to enjoy the advantages of Trimix and qualifies you to carry out dives with multiple decompression stops, using Enriched Air or oxygen to reduce decompression times and Trimix with a minimum oxygen content of 18%.

With this course you will be qualified to dive to a depth of 65 metres. Obtaining the Tec Trimix 65 certification makes exploration at greater depth a reality.

What will you learn?

PADI Tec Trimix Course
The PADI Tec Trimix 65 course is designed to extend the depth limit of technical divers trained and qualified to use air, Enriched Air and oxygen for technical decompression dives beyond 50 metres depth.
This course is aimed at divers who hold the PADI Tec 50 certification or an equivalent certification from another organisation and extends your depth limits by training you in the use of Trimix (a mixture of Helium, Oxygen and Nitrogen).

During the course:
  • You will plan and carry out a minimum of 5 dives using various Trimix mixtures with a minimum oxygen content of 18%.
  • You will learn

What equipment will you use?

  • Twinset (minimum 12 litres) with independent valves.
  • Primary and secondary regulator. One with a 210cm hose for air sharing and the other with a pressure gauge.
  • Decompression cylinders with regulator, pressure gauge, mounting system and appropriate mixture indicator labels.
  • Safety decompression cylinders according to the requirements of each dive.
  • Wing and harness (dual buoyancy compensation system required (jacket with double bladder or dry suit).
  • Depth gauge and dive computer in duplicate.
  • Decompression tables and Trimix computer in duplicate.
  • Safety line.
  • Decompression buoy.
  • Reel.
  • Knife, slate and mask in duplicate.
  • Compass and lighting systems.

Course requirements

  • Be 18 years of age.
  • Hold the PADI Rescue Diver certification or an equivalent certification from another organisation and have obtained a First Aid qualification within the last two years.
  • Hold the PADI Tec 50 certification or an equivalent certification from another organisation.
  • Hold an official medical certificate no older than 2 years.
  • Hold specific diving insurance for technical diving (if you do not have one, we can arrange it).
  • Have a minimum of 100 logged dives.
